By Sondra G. Oravetz
Having owned a variety of styles, weights and sizes of down comforters over the last 40 years I can tell you that this comforter is superb! Boxed panels is the ONLY comforter a person should ever buy because all the other designs allow the down to "travel" away from your body in a very short time leaving "cold spots" where down winds up clumping in side channels or pockets which is hard to shake back into their respective and much needed areas! This over-sized comforter fits well into a standard king duvet for anyone who is looking to NOT buy another duvet. I have a custom made duvet that was made to accommodate an eastern king bed which was about 12" (6" extra each side) narrower than the width of this comforter's measurements and I had no problem getting the comforter to fit beautifully inside. Could not be happier and plan to buy another king size for a guest bedroom. You won't be disappointed with this comforter.February, 2012I have just recently purchased a second one of these beauties. My delay in purchasing was the unavailability of this product so my suggestion - after you have done all your searching for the best down comforter at the best price, that you purchase this wonderful comforter and never look back! You will enjoy!February, 2013I continue to love this comforter and can not understand anyone who complains about it. I advise them to be more specific about their complaints. The only caveat I can give about this comforter is this one: If you live in a very cold climate - northeastern and northern/midwestern, Alaska - parts of the U.S where temps can dip to well below zero and stay in the teens most of the winter, like to sleep in a cold bedroom at least below 50 degrees at night then you will love this comforter and stay toasty warm and comfortable at night. If temperatures rise outside above freezing (32 degrees and up) or you like a warmer bedroom then you just might find this comforter way too warm! I use only a sheet between me and the comforter which is in a duvet plus wear medium weight, long sleeves and legs, knit p.j's. If temps drop into the minus numbers and my thermostat is set at 45-47 degrees I might throw a wool blanket over the foot of the bed "just in case" but almost never have I used the blanket. I stick by my original comments about the quality of the comforter. Once the temps start to rise outside in the spring I find myself traveling to cooler spots under the comforter and eventually sometime in March/April I switch over to a lighter weight comforter and eventually to only blankets until the coming fall. I think I have the best sleep under this warm and cozy comforter during the winter than at any other time of the year!

By KM
I spent a month looking or a down comforter and finally settled for this one, assuming that the higher price, goose feather and heavier fill, backed by great reviews would be the best choice. Unfortunately this was not a good decisions and I'm absolutely not happy with this purchase. The comforter is very thin and barely filled, while the seams between the pockets leave a lot of empty space around them. During the day I can actually see bright light through much of the comforter when lifting it a little - I wasn't even trying to test it, it's just so noticeable. It also feels colder than a cheap basic comforter I previously used and was trying to replace. The first couple nights I had them side by side and this goose down comforter was actually worse. The only good thing about it is the large over-sized size, and I guess that's where the weight goes. I've seen a lot of comforters at department stores and now feel that most of them would be better than this one. Very disappointed.

By Jam5786
It was the best comforter I could have bought. Definitely worth every penny, even better than I thought it was going to be. Oversized was right, it is huge and billowy with awesome fluffiness all throughout the entire comforter. I feel just warm enough and I will be using it year round. No more fighting over blanket with my hubby, there is enough there to go around! I definitely recommend this product and I am psyched to get back into bed tonight! Yes, it's that good!
