After moving to north Florida from Atlanta I realized that my 600 fill king down comforter was going to be too warm for us. We kept our home cool in the evening (69 degrees) but my husband and I were still too warm under the down comforter. One year later we moved further south to the Tampa area. To conserve electricity we decided to keep our air temperature at approximately 75 degrees. The down comforter REALLY had to go. So, I did some investigating and decided to try out the Empress Silk Comforter (All Season Weight) and we absolutely love it! One of the things I was looking for in a silk comforter was corner straps to tie it to the inside of my duvet cover. All the silk comforters I found with these straps were EXTREMELY expensive so I gave up on the straps and ordered this silk comforter instead. When I received the Empress Silk Comforter I was delighted to see, though not in the description, that this comforter does have corner straps. I will definitely be ordering another one for the guest room.

I ordered the all season weight hoping that it would be as nice as the Dreamsack (now Yala) comforter that I had to replace as the shell had ripped at the seams. Upon receipt, I realized that the weight would be a bit light for the Northern California Coast but was delighted with the quality of the comforter so decided to opt for the winter weight. (The ring stitching on the comforter will hold the silk fill in place without creating the stress on the shell that box stitching does.) I contacted Empress Home directly -- lo and behold -- my call was answered by a real person! I asked several questions about size and fill weight -- all of my questions were answered politely and in detail. I am a silk bedding devotee so for the price of one Dreamsack queen comforter, I was able to purchase an oversize twin comforter, fitted silk charmeuse sheet, one silk pillow and charmeuse pillowcases, and a plush silk blanket -- all luscious, quality items. In short, one of the best ever purchases and customer service experiences.Note: A word to the wise -- I learned that individual sheets and pillowcases soon may be a thing of the past so stock up now!

This comforter is superlight but still warm and cozy enough for winters in the south! Like sleeping under a cloud. Love it!
