The Argyle bed is named for the diamond pattern wire design casted below the top rail of the headboard and just above the bottom rail of the footboard. The grills are composed of five sets of double spindles also casted together. There is a curved piece of metal tube added to the bottom of the footboard which gives a bit of additional flair to the design. The finish is called Copper Chrome and is a mixture of copper and silver streaked with black antiquing - which will allow the bed to coordinate with many types of wood accessory pieces.

Bedknobs & Broomsticks Bed!

We love, love our bed!!!! I convinced my hubby to get this bed because the knobs reminded me of Bedknobs & Broomsticks - that old movie with Angela Landsbury. The bed does have a very vintage feel to it, and looks wonderful with any linens, but especially old style quilts. Bed is very sturdy, and was easy to put together...usually we put things together as a couples' project, but my DH was able to put this bed together by himself! Now if we could just get it to take flight like in the movie!
