Upon searching for a canopy bed we found the wilshire platform canopy bed, and we decided it was exactly what we were looking for in price and style but the problem was that we could not get one in a somewhat reasonable time frame, until we found the bed on amazon.com. we ordered it and in a week we had it and assembly was a breeze only took about an hour. well made product, easy assembly an great shipping and communication by yrc. we are very pleased.

First of all, the color is not the dark color that it appears to be in the picture. In person, it is more of a reddish brown or cherry color. The manufacturer sent 2 left footboard posts and no left headboard post. There were also 4 bolts missing. Despite the color, we were still considering keeping the bed. The posts were labeled, so we sent pictures with an explanation of the mistake. After 2 weeks of e-mail and phone interaction, they had not sent us the items we needed, nor had they told us when they would. We have since then boxed up the bed and returned it. We did get free shipping to send it back. We have not yet received our refund, but they say that we should see it in our account by the end of next week.

This is a great bed at an amazing price. I looked around at some local bed stores, and saw very similar beds for twice as much. The box was beat to hell when it arrived, but it was packed well enough that there was no damage to the bed. It assembled easily, I was able to put it together myself in only about 2 hours. The wood feels solid, and with the slats screwed in there's no movement. The slats also provide significantly more support for my mattress than the metal frame I was using before. I still use a box spring with it, because I like taller beds, and the box spring plus mattress comes to just over the top of the foot board, and about 6 inches below the headboard. The only negative I've noticed so far is that it's not sealed well against water. My cat knocked over a glass of water and got the side rail wet, which caused some swelling and splitting along the grain.
