As I suspected, the previous reviewer either got a bad blanket or doesn't understand what to expect when you wash a brand-new blanket for the first time! I'm afraid of how he'd rate a down comforter after washing it LoL!Could I have made a sweater out of what I retrieved from my lint trap? Absolutely! Is that perfectly normal when washing a brand-new 100% cotton blanket for the first time? Absolutely! It should also be noted that I got the massive king-sized blanket..! I'm unaware of a blanket that sheds less after its first wash but if you know of one please respond with a link so that I can check it out!It should also be noted that this blanket runs big in size. The "King" is enormous... An "oversized" King bed top sheet is considered to be 110x104. This blanket is 114 x 96!This blanket is incredibly soft and comfortable.UPDATE:I've now washed this blanket a dozen times (my freaking cat is attracted to it since it's so soft!). As expected, there was a lot less lint on the second wash and even less on the third, etc.... The blanket has held up PERFECTLY (not a single stray thread) and I couldn't be happier. I've owned it for almost a year now and I plan on picking up a second one for my guestroom...

Beautiful weave, thick yet not too heavy, luxurious feel, exact colour, a great hit in my son's new room. Highly ecommended, even at the price.

I paid about 100 bucks for this blanket on Amazon (king size). The quality of the yarns is superior to other woven cotton blankets I have purchased in the past in the $50-70 range.I washed and dried this blanket twice before use and did not see any excessive shedding of cotton fibers. I have washed it once since then and the fiber loss is minimal for this type of blanket. Again, the quality of the cotton and the yarns is very good. It is a very soft weave and somewhat heavy weight. I use it as a midlayer between a sheet and coverlet. It gives a wonderful soft cuddly "puffy" feel compared to flatter weaves I have used in the past. The only flaw is in the weave. There are trimmed yarns that randomly stick out of the two hems by about 1/4 inch. This gives the hems a slightly sloppy look and I would not expect this sort of poor workmanship from a product claiming "luxury" quality.Despite this flaw, I am happy with the blanket at the price I paid and would recommend. Thanks for reading, I hope this review was helpful!
