I called several bed/mattress stores asking if there was a product to convert a full-sized bed to a queen-sized bed. My granddaughter wanted the larger size for her old-fashioned bed frame. Five employees from five different stores said they never heard of such a thing and had no solution suggestions. Finally I went to a Home Depot to ask how I could build an adaptation for this problem, and the lumber manager looked online and found the very product I needed. It works great. The only drawback is the modern box spring and mattress combination is taller than the old-fashioned wire spring/mattress combo, hence partially covering the design on the headboard. But, a small price for being able to have a "queen" bed!

I have a vintage full bed that didn't want to get rid of, but I wanted a bigger mattress, so this seemed like a great way to get both.In my opinion, this product is flimsy. The center support leg was too short for my bed, so I had to MacGyver a work around. I also feel that the side rails are unnecessarily long- a queen mattress is 80" long, but these rails are roughly 82.5" long. I realize a small gap for bedding makes sense, but these gaps are larger than needed. After I purchased this, I found that there are other similar products with 3 cross braces instead of the 1 this has. I would recommend buying on of those instead.

By T. Robinson
at $93.50 minus $27.93 they keep for "Shipping charges " and 15% restocking fee = $53.25 .UPS charges $63.00 to ship from NEW ENGLAND . Might as well just go to the scrap yard to try to make any money back . The hooks are welded real crappy to the frame . As everyone has claimed the packaging will result in bent hooks because it is welded on a thin piece of angle iron ...Not a happy Amazon customer with this vendor
