Strobel waterbeds are naturally fire resistant and do not require flame retardant chemical based flame barriers like other mattresses to comply with federal fire safety regulations. Our bodies are over 90% water. Strobel waterbeds achieve nearly Zero-Gravity. Archimedes Principle, proved a body floating or submerged in a liquid is buoyed up by a force equal to the weight of the liquid displaced. Thus the human body loses the amount of weight of the liquid displaced so that your body is lightened. This imposes less pressure on the body. Strobel water-mattresses go a step further with our unique deep molded Feathertop pressure reduction surface. Our Feathertop surface relives surface tension and further reduces pressures to allow for true flotation sleep so your muscles and body can truly relax. Strobel Hydro-Support water-mattresses also feature reinforced corners, 4-way tethered waveless system to prevent shifting, bottom seams to relieve pressure on seams, thermally efficient heater compatible bottoms, and added lumbar support for better back support. Many people rave about the health benefits and how well they sleep on Strobel Waterbeds. Made in USA.

By L. D. Richardson
Until I was 30 years old, I had only ever slept (high quality, high priced) mattresses - and always found myself regretting the big bucks spent within a few weeks because my thought was "for this much money, it should be perfect". I then started sleeping on the adjustable air mattresses (another high priced option). Hated it. Just after my 30th birthday I got married and DH had a Strobel Sunday Silence water mattress (which features the Strobel Hydro Support 1400 water bladder). OH! MY! GOSH! The very first night I slept like I had never slept in my life. Seriously. And it has been the same every single night since, for 9 years now. The initial purchase for a complete setup is very expensive, but the great thing to me is that these are truly adjustable - add more water for a firmer mattress, drain a little for a softer mattress... and it's still 70% waveless. Every summer I take the top cover off, take it out and throw it over my deck railing and wash it and allow it to air dry. (Will dry in a few hours in GA) Dust mites no more. Can't do that with a regular mattress! Makes it easy to get the stains (urine) out left behind by the little creatures (aka kids) that sneak in-between Mom and Dad in the middle of the night, then have an accident. The bed has a heater, but I've never used it - not even when I've had to refill with cold well water in the middle of the winter. I do think, though, that once the hot flashes and menopause kick in, I might fill with extra cold water and take off the quilted top... you think I'm kidding, but I'm not. If I should ever get a leak, I'll patch it. (Quilted cover makes it nearly impossible to get a puncture.) But I will never, ever, ever sleep on anything else again (OK, hotels don't count, but you get what I'm saying.)

By shoppingcart
While I am not specifically reviewing this mattress I want buyers of Stroebel products to know they do not honor their warranty. I purchased a latex foam mattress manufactured by Stroebel a few years ago and it has sagged to the point of being uncomfortable and very unsightly. The sagging even shows when I have my down filled duvet on top of the mattress. The mattress has a non-prorated warranty on it as quoted from their website, "Accordingly we offer 5-year non-prorated/20 prorated warranty on Supple-Forma mattresses, and 10-year non-prorated/30 prorated warranty on Supple-Pedic 3000, 4500, and 6000 models." I have contacted Stroebel twice and have not had any type of response from them. I highly recommend refraining from purchasing any of their products due to their lack of response in standing behind not only their products, but their promise also.
