Very nice bed

First let me say that te delivery of this product was delayed to superstorm Sandy. Amazon did adjust the date. I was given a courtesy call when the bed arrived in New York. They gave me a four hour window which allowed me to work a half day.I chose to assemble the drawers first and was impressed by the weight of each piece. It definitely does not have the feel of cheap furniture. Each piece was packaged with enough styrofoam and cheese cloth so as not to scrarch the wood. The four drawers took about 40 minutes each and all of the necessary hardware (screws and allen wrench) was included. The drawers measure 29 inches wide by 6.5 inches deep by 16.8 inches long. Next i tackled the frame. I found it helpful to lay the pieces out as they would be assembled. It would have been nice to have someone help with unboxing the larger items. Last was the slats which come in 42 pieces and have to be assembled three across with plastic fixtures.Once assembled the bed has a very sturdy feel and looks rich and masculine. It looks even better with the mattress. Only time will tell whether or not it is worth the price. However i am very happy with this buy and would recommend it. The only thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that the drawers are on wheels instead of being attached to the bed in some way.
