We are the type to keep our stuff for 20 or 30 years

This was a good purchase. It has hefty looking, antique proportions and I would not have expected such nice quality for the price. We purchased the headboard only and have had no squeaking at all after two months and don't expect any. I first got a headboard from overstock.com and sent it back as it came in too many peices which made me nervous. This is one piece except for the two foot posts that slide in snugly to create the height. Color is always a mystery when the descriptions are so poor. This has little to do with a copper penny. Why don't they just say, dark brown like a hershey 'special dark' chocolate with tan sponge painting effect for some depth and texture. It's matte. I wouldn't have been so nervous awaiting delivery if they'd said something like this. It goes quite well with our dark, brown cherry furniture. I'm a tough customer and would buy this bed again!

Good quality and finish. I wasn't certain what to expect since the photos of the headboard finish online were hard to see. But it was better than expected. Nice headboard and a good value. I would recommend.
