I have a memory foam type mattress that traps my body heat - I don't care what anyone says about the holes in them, they are not cool. I read about people using wool toppers so I got this one at a great price, comparatively, and tried it. In this hot summer, I get no warmer than on a regular mattress. Plus, it is so soft and comfy. Makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning.

There was an odd smell to this wool topper right out of the plastic packaging (not too fond of the plastic package, but oh-well), but I let it air out, opened on my mattress for the day, and a lot of the smell dissipated. I had to fluff it out quite a bit to even out the wool. It did make a big difference on the comfort level, allowing my pregnant wife to turn less throughout the night.

My wife and I have recently lost weight and we were having issues getting comfortable in our latex bed. For reference, I am 6' and 160 pounds and my wife is 6'1" and 155 pounds. With our natural padding disappearing, we started having problems waking up with dead arms and sore hips.When shopping for our bed, we had tried out some bed toppers including one that was around $1k made of wool and latex which felt like sleeping on a dream of a cloud. After using this mattress topper, I have to say it compares extremely well for less than half the cost.I had no issues with odor out of the bag. We put it on the bed and put the mattress cover and fitted sheet over it and began using it right away. After sleeping on it for a night I noticed a few things: 1)I woke up thinking "I want to take a nap today because that was so comfortable" 2) I threw my body pillow out of the bed during the night because I was more comfortable without it 3) I had no dead arms or tossing problems in the night. My wife didn't have sore hips when she woke up either.TL;DR version: Rave reviews all around. It made our previously too firm bed feel luxuriously soft and comfortable and solved our sleep problems.
